SAP Tables

In the SAP 3-Layer Architecture landscape (presentation layer, application layer and database layer), the tables in the database layer are stored on a separate server for performance and security reasons. The tables are used to store all data. The number of tables that SAP hosts is not small. In the screenshot below, I counted 605,649 of them in my system!
